Mi 10: Can the Mi 30 be leveled with Overclocked GPU and 11% better performance?

Media Lei Technology has overclocked the GPU at 865 Snapdragon SoC with which it is equipped My 10, and realized enough Bench compared to the performance of the new one My 11.

Η Qualcomm announced the new 888 Snapdragon SoC at the Snapdragon summit last year. This top chipset has the built-in Adreno GPU 660 promising up to 35% improved performance compared to its predecessor - the Snapdragon 865 which has the Adreno GPU 650.

Now the Chinese Media Lei Technology has overclocked the GPU at 865 Snapdragon SoC with which it is equipped My 10, and made quite a Bench compared to the performance of the new one My 11.

According to what he published Media Lei Technology, used an application for GPU overclocking with the name KonaBess, and of course to make this possible, one of his devices was used My 10 in which Booloader had been unlocked and had obviously become Root with a version of it Magisk.

It was used for comparative performance tests AnTuTu Of Geekbench Of 3DMark, but also some tests on known games available at Google Play Store.

The first test that was done in the overdue My 10, was on its benchmarking platform AnTuTu, and the overall rating of the device went up by 560.000 on 620.000 after overclocking the GPU. In the screenshots we give you below, as you can see, the GPU rating has gone up from 219.252 into a 273.252, getting quite close to his score My 11 which has 301.076 in the GPU.

We had similar differences in the results in Geekbench 5 and 3DMark, as well as the overdue My 10 write down 4282 points in OpenCL, 3929 on Vulkan and 4995 in tests with 3DMark.

Before overclocking it My 10, he had noted 3034 points in OpenCL, 2954 on Vulkan and  3761 3DMark respectively. By comparison, the My 11 write down 699.841 points in AnTuTu and 5.628 on 3DMark respectively.

In short, as a conclusion we can say that GPU Overclocking brings one 30% improvement in its performance GPU in Mi 10 with Snapdragon 865. However, even with Overclock, the ratings that the device managed to bring are far from those of its successor - the My 11.

Decent games with strong graphics, such as Glory of Kings and demanding titles such as Original God. During the 15-minute period in each game title, the Mi 10 performed more fps, with less Sutters and had a fairly consistent performance throughout the tests.

The scores brought by the Mi 11

Surprisingly, however My 11 despite the higher fps it had and the smooth feel of its operation, it encountered some heating problems at high loads. This may be due to its older architecture Adreno GPU 660 or a problem with the manufacturing process in 5nm of Samsung.

Overall, the Snapdragon 865 in the Mi 10 has much better GPU performance after overclocking, however, it still does not have the performance needed to compete on par or at least approach performance Snapdragon 888 with which the new is equipped My 11.

Recent information tells us that the Xiaomi will present us one soon new version of Mi 10 with 870 Snapdragon SoC. If we take into account that this SoC will be essentially one overclocked version of Snapdragon 865 Plus, it is considered certain that the new Mi 10 that will be released will have much more power than its predecessor, but in no case will it be able to even approach its performance My 11.
