OnePlus Concept One: It was officially unveiled at CES2020

At the hardware level, the OnePlus ConceptOne remains the same with the 7T Pro, from its basic features to the cameras and the pop-up mechanism. The smartphone is covered with leather in McLaren Papaya Orange color. In fact, the same leather has been used in the McLaren 720S.

The key element of the OnePlus Concept One is the camera that appears automatically. The company explained that the camera module is mounted behind one electrochromic glass which may change its transparency level. This technology is borrowed from McLaren, which uses it in the optional 720S sunroof.

The sensors are hidden under the special glass until the camera is turned on. Then, the glass changes from completely black to 100% transparent, in just 0,7 seconds.

In addition, the electrochromic glass that the OnePlus Concept One has works as well ND filter for the cameras. In photography, such a filter blocks out bright light so that the camera can reduce shadows and accentuate details in the final image.

Price and availability

Unfortunately, the Concept One will never be on the market, so no pricing was mentioned. As OnePlus has made clear from the beginning, it is just a concept, and this kind of devices are intended to present technologies that may be used in future products.
