It seems that in OnePlus 7T, the use of glass in combination with a huge round hole in the center is not the best design.
ΌWhen a smartphone is released that deserves attention, then we see it receiving a review from DxOMark, iFixit screws it, and the JerryRigEverything. The last smartphone that went through the tortures of the famous YouTuber is the OnePlus 7T, and the results are not so positive.
Endurance tests
Initially, JerryRig started with a scratch test which proved that the device is as durable as others in its class. The OnePlus 7T has Gorilla Glass which withstands level 7 scratches on the Mohs hardness scale. The screen of the OnePlus 7T did very well in the heat test while overall the smartphone responded as one would expect in JerryRig multiple abrasion tests.
The moment of disaster
The glass of the OnePlus 7T camera module also protected the cameras and the frosted glass seems to have a good coating which is not damaged.
However, the glass that decorates the back of the smartphone is not durable at all. JerryRig the OnePlus 7T bent slightly and the frosted glass cracked. As YouTuber continued to bend the smartphone the glass was even more damaged.
The cause
It seems that the use of glass in combination with a huge round hole in the center is not the best design. OnePlus will have to think carefully about how to design its next flagship.
