Τα application downloads on smartphones and tablets show an increase almost every quarter that passes, but the pandemic COVID19 has skyrocketed numbers and led many users into app markets to cater to the needs of teleworking, distance learning and of course entertainment.
According to the new report, the analysis company App Annie, consumers around the world downloaded 33 billion apps in the last quarter and spent a record $ 28 billion in the same period, up 20% from the same quarter last year. Η App Annie notes that the pandemic COVID-19 has dramatically affected consumer behavior and practically the numbers we see today should reach them after 2-3 years based on the growth rate of the pre-coronavirus era.
In more detail, the downloads in the store Google Play increased by 10% compared to last year. Android device users downloaded 25 billion apps in the last quarter, while iOS users reached 8 billion.
