Opera mobile browser just got a very interesting feature with its latest upgrade. The new version, Android 51, includes a free VPN that offers increased protection and security of your personal data.
Η This feature will be especially useful if you want to connect to a public network of a café or a hotel. 256-bit encryption is supported, while all your web traffic is routed through the service's remote servers, thus hiding your real location and other corresponding details.
The servers obviously do not store your own information, such as passwords or the websites you visit. Additionally, you do not need to download an extension for the browser, as the feature is built into it. Just activate it whenever you deem it necessary.
"It's a fact that users are exposed when connected to open Wi-Fi without a VPN," said Peter Wallman, senior vice president of Opera browser for Android. "By activating the Opera browser VPN service, users can make it much more difficult for their personal data to be intercepted and detected by third parties. They no longer have to worry about how and how they can protect their data in these circumstances.
