While the ZTE nubia Red Magic 3 released in May, its successor - the new Red Magic 3S - just announced, and offers more modern specifications such as: the Snapdragon 855 + along with faster storage and better cooling of the device.
Οthe only difference with ZTE nubia Red Magic 3 is the reshaped air intake grille around the back, which now comes in a Y shape.
Initially, we have the same 6,65-inch FHD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a 19,5: 9 aspect ratio. There are also dual front speakers and a 16MP selfie camera. Passing on the back of the device we have a single sensor in the 48MP F / 1.7 Sony IMX586, an LED flash and the hexagonal fingerprint reader with a strange shape.
Above the reader, we have the newly established ventilation system. Nubia can be proud that it has managed to significantly improve the cooling solution in the 3S by combining a liquid cooling pipe and a fan. According to the company, this new cooling combination results in significantly better cooling management and can reduce the CPU core temperature by 18 ° C. The sides of the phone have touch switches that can be activated in some games.
The biggest change comes with the new Snapdragon 855+ SoC in combination with 8 / 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage. The battery capacity remains at 5.000 mAh with the same 27 W fast charge support, and in terms of software, the device has RedMagic OS 2.1 based on Android Pie.
The Red Magic 3S is already ready for pre-orders, while official sales are scheduled for September 9 in China. Pricing starts from 419 dollars for the version with 8 / 128GB, while the top model is priced at 531 dollars and packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The new Smartphone will be available in more markets later this year.
