Nokia 8.3 5G is the first 5G Nokia smartphone added to the range of devices.
ΚDuring the new Nokia Mobile Live event that aired a few hours ago via YouTube, Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer of HMD, introduced us to Nokia 8.3 5G, the new smartphone of the Finnish company.
The Nokia 8.3 5G has two main advantages, the competitive price and the full coverage of all 5G frequencies, which makes it compatible with all existing, but also the upcoming, 5G networks worldwide.
Nokia describes its device as the world's first future-proof 5G smartphone and this designation seems to be fully valid, as the Nokia 8.3 5G supports more 5G frequencies than those of the modern and much more expensive "flagships" of the rest. companies.
The device has a 6.81-inch FullHD + screen with HDR support and a quad camera on the back with ZEISS optics. The quad-camera consists of a 64MP sensor, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a depth sensor and a macro camera.
At the moment we do not know exactly what aperture each sensor has, as well as the number of MP of the depth sensor and the macro camera, however based on what we saw in the Nokia presentation, the wide-angle lens will perform better in low light conditions, while you will be able to record and edit your videos with Zeiss Cinema, using various effects (Original, Anamorphic, Blue Flare). On the front of the device we find the selfie camera with 24MP sensor, which is located in a distinctive punch-hole that ensures a seamless viewing experience.
Inside the Nokia 8.3 5G we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, 8GB RAM, as well as 128GB of storage. In terms of operating system, the new Nokia device runs Android 10 and as part of the Android One program you will receive operating system updates for the next two years, as well as monthly security upgrades for the next three years. Its battery has a capacity of 4.500mAh and will support fast 18W charging.
The Nokia 8.3 5G will be released in the summer of 2020 in Greece at a price of 699 euros. The device will be available only in one color (Polar Night), which is inspired by the enchanting arctic sky of Finland.
