New model, new series
There is no information about the features of the phone, but we will definitely expect something very interesting. Although Meitu no longer releases hardware, its profits have increased. Online advertising revenue increased by 27,2% year-on-year to 362,3 million yuan (€ 45 million). It is also reported that Meitu has adopted a new business model which includes a premium subscription service.
The new business is said to have grown 6 times since its introduction to the market. Active users on Meitu social networking platforms have increased to 308,1 million, 0,6% since December 2018. The average daily usage time has also increased from 5-6 minutes to over 12 minutes. The future looks good for the small company and the cooperation with Xiaomi gives it a new way out in the market.
