PayPal launches new free service for small debts

In addition, for those users who prefer to manage their account on the go, the enhanced mobile PayPal app offers more control, making it even easier to track PayPal account balance, receive notifications and send money to the frequently used contacts.

It is worth noting that on average, the Hellenes they borrow 50-100 euros per year and they borrow 10 euros from friends and relatives. The highest amount of money they have borrowed and never taken back exceeds 1.000 euros and the groups that seem to borrow the largest amounts are siblings as well as friends and other relatives. This is at least shown by the results of a survey conducted by Censuswide on behalf of PayPal, analyzing the common practices regarding lending money to friends and relatives in some of the markets where the free interpersonal payment service has been extended.

The research also concluded that 17,9% of people find it difficult to raise money from friends and relatives, after spending a certain amount of money on a joint activity, such as buying a gift, paying for a group outing, or buying tickets to an event. In Greece, the main reasons given by those who have not repaid their creditors are the difficulty of meeting in person due to distance, the temporary lack of cash and the impossibility of easy access to an ATM.
