The news was officially announced today Moto G 5G Plus, and below we will see what this new device has to offer us Motorola.
ΈIt has been almost a year since we started seeing the first 5G Smartphones on the market, but so far they are generally considered expensive - with top features and crazy specifications, but also with very high prices.
Somewhere here comes the motorola to make things a little better and offer a Smartphone at a reasonable price, but which has all the necessary features to be considered a modern device of 2020.
So today the new was officially announced Moto G 5G Plus, and below we will see what this new Motorola device has to offer.
The design and display of the Moto G 5G Plus
The Moto G 5G Plus has a standard and modern design of the front screen. The device has a 6,7 inch screen with aspect ratio 21:9 to adorn it surrounded by an almost uniform hoop. The screen has resolution 1080 x 2520 pixels and refresh rate at 90 Hz. Definitely not as good as the 120 Hz, but in our experience, 90 Hz greatly improves the smoothness of moving images in the UI.
You will notice that there are two tiny holes in the screen, beneath which are two separate selfie cameras. At the back of the device we have a square camera unit with 4 different sensors - a trend that seems to be starting in 2020.
The Cameras and the features of the Moto G 5G Plus
As for the cameras that the device has now, we see that in the front are housed two Selfie cameras - a main selfie camera that has a sensor in 16 MP, who can use the quad pixel binning to group 4 pixels into one to significantly improve the light collected in low light conditions.
This results in a Selfie photo with real resolution in 4 MP. The selfie secondary camera has a super-wide-angle lens, which allows you to "fit 4 times more than your friends in the same frame".
On the back of the device as we said we have… four cameras. These consist of a main sensor 48 MP, he uses again quad pixel binning and takes photos with real resolution in 12 MP but of course with better performance in low light conditions.
We also have a wide angle lens, a depth sensor for portrait-like photos and a Macro camera.
The Moto G 5G Plus powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC, which is combined with the modem Snapdragon X52 so that the device is ready for use in 5G networks.
The device is powered by a rather large battery at 5.000 mAh, and as Motorola claims, can comfortably offer two days of autonomy with a single charge. This of course will depend on how much you use the 5G networks and how many games you play. Inside the package you will find a charger TurboPower at 20W.
The Moto G 5G Plus will be available in two storage variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space, and a second variant with 6GB RAM and storage in 128GB.
The Software and Features of the Moto G 5G Plus
Moto smartphones are known to not burden Android with piles of junk apps to slow it down, and it looks like the new Moto G 5G Plus will follow the same path of Motorola which will "dress" the UI of the device only with the necessary Google services without additional bloatware.
There will of course be some Motorola-specific features such as gestures and navigation customization that allow users to simplify their smartphone usage. The Moto G 5G Plus will be accompanied by an application with the name My UX, which will give more control over settings for videos, games and music. In addition, users will now be able to customize their own themes by combining fonts, colors and icon shapes to their liking.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the side of the device, which will also be used as a shortcut starter. You will be able to pair the scanner with any of your favorite applications or features. Motorola calls this feature as Power Tap.
Price and release date of Moto G 5G Plus
The Moto G 5G Plus will reach European markets on July 8. The variation with 64 GB storage will cost at € 349 (~ $ 400), while the version with 128 GB storage will be invoiced at € 399 (~ $ 450). Sales are expected to expand to Middle Eastern markets, but there are currently no reports on availability in the US.
