Motorola through its big event in India, announced the launch of the new Motorola Edge 50 Pro.
The Motorola Pro Edge 50 is an upper mid-range device which will come equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen3, screen AMOLED and triple camera setup.
More specifically, the screen is curved pOLED at 6.7 inches with 1220p resolution, refresh rate at 144Hz and maximum brightness at 2000 nits. It is the first smartphone it has Pantone-validated colors for the most faithful and accurate representation of colors and skin tones. The screen also features front selfie camera at 50MP with autofocus and in-display fingerprint scanner.
On the back of the device, there is the main camera at 50MP with f/1.4 aperture and OIS, which is accompanied by 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and wide-angle lens at 13MP which can also be used as macro camera.
The Edge 50 Pro it's her first smartphone Motorola which has the AI Photo Enhancement Engine for motion capture optimization and color segmentation.
On the software side, it will run the new one Hello UI of Motorola which is version based Android 14 and offers possibilities generative AI for creating wallpaper.
The Edge 50 Pro has support for Smart connect, which is a set of features that are compatible with its various smartphones, tablets and PCs Motorola and Lenovo, offering features such as external display connection and data synchronization. It is also stated that there will be support for Android OS updates for three years and security updates for four.
The battery of the device is at 4500mAh with wired charging speed at 125w with support for wireless charging at 50w.
Finally, the Edge 50 Pro possesses class durability IP68 against water drops and dust.
Availability and starting price of Motorola Edge 50 Pro
The Edge 50 Pro will be available in two color options: Black and Lavender. There is also another special and limited color option Moonlight Pearl.
The original price of its simple version Edge 50 Pro is in INR 31,999 (€355) with RAM/Storage at 8GB / 256GB and the version with 12GB / 256GB starts at INR 35,999 (€399).
Sales start in India on April 9, with the special limited edition Moonlight Pearl to start on April 8.
