Miui 11: Xiaomi's new operating system unveiled - See full list of devices

Along with the new phones We 9 Pro and Mi Mix Alpha, Xiaomi officially unveils the latest version of its custom Android interface - MIUI 11.

Τthe new firmware is based on Android 10 and brings a renewed visual design along with several extensions of the basic functions.

Starting with visual changes, it comes with slightly smoother icons, Dark Mode across the system, the new Mi Lan Pro system font and enhanced Always-On Display function.

There are also many new animations, themes, wallpapers and an improved alert system.

Another great addition to MIUI 11 is the enhanced audio experience with brand new dynamic natural sound effects and sounds. Xiaomi has also announced the new Mi Go Travel Suite, which will help you book tickets for a wide range of transportation, from airplane to train and bus, along with currency conversion and an extreme way to save battery power.

Xiaomi Mi Go and Mi Work

Mi Work Suite features pre-installed WPS office applications and enhanced document file management as well as screencasting and support for more printers.

Another new addition is Family Guard, which lets you keep track of where your family members live as well as adjust the time constraints on using your kids' apps.

Distribution program

The first public Beta distribution of MIUI 11 comes on September 27 and the full version will start in mid-October. The new ROM will be distributed on Xiaomi devices in three time periods, and you can see the list below to see which one your device belongs to.
