Bug Report: Weekly bug report in the Global & EEA version of MIUI 13 & 14 (30/06/2023)

As the MIUI 13 & 14 continues to evolve and grow, some problems may arise and affect smoothness and functionality of the phone in everyday use.


This is why the Mi Testers and Mi Fans work hard to find and report these issues, so developers will provide fixes as soon as possible. In this new series of threads, we intend to share with all of you his fans Mi, the most common issues found in ROM.

So, let's start with the list of problems.
MIUI 13 & 14 Weekly Bug Report (EEA & Global Version – Vol.118 – 30 June 2023)


Device : POCO M4 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11T 5G


  • Problems: Random heating issues while using the device
  • MIUI version affected : V13.0.9.0.SGBINXM (India ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: The problem is being analyzed
  • Condition : A new ROM will be distributed soon

Device : Redmi Note 9S


  • Problems: Random reboot
  • MIUI version affected : V14.0.3.0.SJWMIXM (Global ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: The problem is being analyzed
  • Condition : Update to the latest version

Device : Redmi 9C


  • Problems: The touch screen does not work
  • MIUI version affected : V12.0.14.0.QCRIDXM (Indonesia ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: The problem is being analyzed
  • Condition : A new ROM will be distributed soon

Device : Redmi Note 9 Pro


  • Problems: Wi-Fi / Hotspot / Bluetooth is not available after upgrade
  • MIUI version affected : V14.0.1.0.SJZIDXM, V14.0.2.0.SJXIXNM (Indonesia – India ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: The problem is being analyzed
  • Condition : A new ROM will be distributed soon

Device : Xiaomi 13 Pro


  • Problems: Slow WiFi in Germany
  • MIUI version affected : V14.0.19.0.TMBEUXM, V14.0.22.0.TMBEUXM, V14.0.15.0.TMCEUXM (EEA ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: Qualcomm is analyzing this problem
  • Condition : A new ROM will be distributed soon

Device : Redmi Note 12


  • Problems: Network problem
  • MIUI version affected : V14.0.3.0.TMGIDXM, V14.0.4.0.TMTINXM, V14.0.6.0.TMTMIXM (Indonesia – India – Global ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: The problem is being analyzed
  • Condition : A new ROM will be distributed soon

Device : All devices & POCO F5 Pro


  • Problems: Google Map does not show navigation directions and marker
  • MIUI version affected : V14.0.4.0.TMNMIXM (Global ROM)
  • Cause of the problem: It has already been mentioned in the Google Maps team
  • Condition : A new ROM will be distributed soon

Temporary solution: After clearing all Maps app data, it may temporarily return to normal operation

  9. Mobile data speed is slow (Poco M3 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 10 5G)
  10. Unable to receive incoming calls (Poco M3 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 10 5G)
  11. System lag/stop responding during daily use (POCO M5)
  12. Mobile data not working and slow internet (POCO X3 GT)
  13. Cannot charge to 100% (Redmi Notes 12 Pro 5G)
  14. Slow charging (Redmi 10C)
  15. Mobile data not working (Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G)
  16. Mobile data not working (Xiaomi 11t)
  17. Random reboot (Xiaomi 12t)

Instructions for fixing the issue with Themes


This particular problem has been solved with the cooperation of Xiaomi and Google, however if you still see the notification from the Google Play Play Protect, but you haven't disabled the Themes app yet, follow the steps below to fix it:

Open it Google Play Store and tap on your profile picture located in the upper right corner of the screen. Select "Play Protect" and open the "Settings». Turn off the “Scan apps with Play Protect". Return to Play Protect and turn the switch back on. The theme app notification should not appear after a new scan.

If you've already disabled the Themes app, try the following to restore access:

  • Go to Settings -> Applications -> Application Manager -> click on the 3 dots which is in the top right corner -> Reset app preferences.
  • You should immediately grant new licenses for some applications after the “reset application preferences. "

This is a known temporary fix for now and Xiaomi will probably update and fix this issue very quickly. If you also see the relevant warning on your device labeling the theme app as malware, please do not disable it as you may not be able to use the themes you have set on your device.
