Consider a situation in which you listen to a podcast while navigating to Twitter and a random video appears while you are browsing and starts playing at full volume. The audio of this video will affect the playback of the podcast and if you turn down the volume to avoid the audio from the video, you will not be able to listen to the podcast either.

How to enable Sound Assistant to control application volume
The new feature can be activated by going to the section Settings -> Sound & Vibration -> Sound Assistant and activating the switch next to the option Customize multimedia audio in many applications.
An additional circular button will appear on the left side of the screen (when the feature is activated) while adjusting the volume using the device's natural volume keys when playing media (in any application). Pressing this button will switch to volume adjustments for the various applications that play audio on your device.
This feature is only found in Redmi K20 Pro that uses MIUI 12.0.3.0 BASED on Android 10, so there is a good chance you will not find it at Mi / Redmi / POCO your device. We hope that Xiaomi will bring the new feature to more devices with future updates.
