As we told you, the Xiaomi officially presented today the Xiaomi Mi Charge Turbo, a next generation fast (wireless) charging technology.
Σaccording to the company will be the charging standard of all its new mobiles, starting from Mi 9 Pro 5G which we will see soon. We remind you that the company currently uses fast 27 W charging in its mobile phones, such as the Mi 9.
At the same time, it is the company that announced the world's first wireless fast charge with the Mi 9, last February.
According to Xiaomi, Mi Charge Turbo technology can charge a 4000 mAh battery wirelessly (!) Up to 50% in just 25 minutes, and up to 100% in just 69 minutes. If the numbers are right, this is the fastest wireless charging technology in the world right now. Apart from that, however, this technology also supports fast reverse wireless charging which means it can charge smartwatches, headphones and even other mobile radios - when mounted on compatible devices.
For example, a mobile phone (the Mi 9 Pro 5G) can charge e.g. iPhone XS up to 20% wirelessly in 30 minutes, while the Huawei P30 Pro does the same but only up to 13% of its capacity.
At the event, Xiaomi also talked about the long-awaited 100W technology Super charge turbo, but we will probably see it for the first time in one of its upcoming Redmi models. We remind you that this year he presented it - for a while - on a phone with a 4000mAh battery which fully charged in 17 minutes! Some reports suggest that we may see wireless charging faster than the 27W wired, at 30W, another pioneer of the company.
The Chinese company has confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G will be the first mobile phone to support Mi Charge Turbo technology at 30W and will be the first to be able to offer: fast wired charger - fast wireless charging and fast reverse charging!
