Mi 12 / Ultra: Xiaomi's best flagship with unsurpassed specifications - coming at the end of the year

That's it My 12 is expected to make its debut at the end of the year, with standards that will far exceed the expectations of even the most ambitious.

O  August will definitely be a hot month for Xiaomi, as interesting new devices like the My Notes 11 as well as its brand new version Android Skin of the company - the MIUI 13.

For some time now, however, the rumor has been circulating about the release of another mysterious flagship of the company sometime at the end of the year, which should be the My 12. This device has already been certified in China with the model number 2112123AC, but unfortunately this certification does not add any additional information to the rest of its specifications.

Therefore, below we will make a summary with all the information we have so far, which comes mainly from various leaks and rumors circulating about My 12 lately, as for the processor, the release date, the screen, but also the wonderful camera camera that the device will have.

Mi 12 will be the smartphone with the best screen and camera on the market

The My 12 It is rumored that it will make its debut with Qualcomm's newest SoC Snapdragon 895 - and in fact will again be one of the first devices in the world to be released with this particular Qualcomm Soc.

But because the 895 Snapdragon SoC is not expected to be available before the end of the year - beginning of 2022, maybe by then we will see the release of a second version of the series called My 12 Ultra which will also be equipped with this SoC.

In terms of its screen My 12, the device is expected to be equipped with LTPO screen with analysis in 2K, capable of offering a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

What is an LTPO monitor and what are its advantages?

The LTPO is a new generation technology that allows the manufacture of glass with polycrystalline silicon oxide at low temperatures. Basically, this process can greatly improve the energy management of the on or off pixels of the screen.

This automatically leads to great energy savings which translates into the ability of manufacturers to incorporate slightly smaller batteries in their devices without sacrificing their overall autonomy. Although this solution may be the "ideal" as it solves the problem of autonomy, but there are major problems of availability.

Finding a company that can produce screens of this type is difficult, and therefore this will result in increased costs for their supply. We can therefore assume (if all that Ross says) that his final values are My 12 when it is finally released, it will be quite high compared to its My 11.

The Mi 12 will have the largest camera sensor at 200MP

But what it really will do My 12 to stand out, is that it is expected to become the first Smartphone in the world to use the new its sensor Samsung at 200MP.

This information is provided by the well-known and trusted leakster, Digital Chat Station, although he did not set a time frame for when this might happen.

Another well-known Leakster, o Ice Universe, reports that Samsung's new camera sensor in 200MP will have a pixel size of 0,64 μm, and some additional references do indicate that it will have Visual Format in 1 / 1,37 ", which is much smaller than him GN2 (1 / 1,12 ″) and about the same size as the last sensor in 108MP, HM3 (1 / 1,33 ", 0,8 μm).

Samsung's sensor in 200MP will support the binning 4-in-1 with output analysis at 50MP and actual pixel size in 1,28 μm. It was also mentioned that he will have the opportunity to do so 16-in-1 binning (with frame output at 12.5MP) but such a thing seems rather unlikely to happen.

Samsung's latest camera sensors 108MP have inherent digital zoom capability on 2x or 3x without losses, depending on their configuration. The new sensor in 200MP it should be able to reach higher levels of digital zoom, and it may no longer be necessary to have a second telecamera on the devices.

This sensor will technically be able to offer maximum video resolution on 16K (133MP), but so far no chipset is available that can process these sizes, and we are still years away from the release of such a Chip that is able to support video in 16K, since even today the top chips are not able to process video on 8K @ 60fps.

These new high-resolution sensors will have to use smaller pixels, otherwise they will be quite large in size, which also means they will have a very thick camera unit.

Also in its expected features My 12, fast wired charging will definitely be included at least in 120w, as well as the possibility of wireless charging in 100w.

Xiaomi has already officially announced the new technology HyperCharge which supports both wired and wireless charging. In wired charging the power reaches 200 watts, and 120 watts, on the wireless.

In China, wireless charging is prohibited to exceed their power 50w, so perhaps only in the Global versions of the devices is it possible to see wireless charging speeds in 100+.

Let's hope that the Xiaomi will continue to adopt the low price policy we have been accustomed to in the past. In any case, we will have to wait until the end of the year, and it is certain that the devices will make their debut first in China, and then in the other markets.
