Today, its vice president Xiaomi and its general manager Redmi , Lu Weibing, released a video showing the process of making one Smartphone with quad camera layout, with the main sensor at 64MP.

ΣAccording to him, this smartphone went into mass production two weeks ago, and as he confirmed, the Stock of this device will satisfy us all.

From the video snapshots, we can see that the cameras are in the middle of the device. Three sensors have a vertical layout - while the fourth sensor is to their right. This smartphone will not use a pop-up Selfie camera, and so will most likely come with a waterdrop screen design. In addition to the stock of the device, the Lu Weibing, did not provide any further information about this smartphone.

Xiaomi recently held the conference Xiaomi Future Image Technology Communication in Beijing. At the conference, the company gave details about the upcoming 64MP camera that will be a Samsung sensor. The vice president of the department Samsung Electronics LSI, Li Jishuo, then gave details about this sensor.

According to him, the GW1 sensor uses an extremely large sensor with a depth of 1 / 1,7 inches (pixel size at 1,6 μm). It will be 34% larger than the previous generation, and supports 4-in-1 pixel-binning technology. With ISOCELL PLUS technology, the Samsung GW1 sensor guarantees high color reproduction. This also improves its sensitivity to light by 15%.

In addition, the Samsung GW1 has support for hybrid 3D HDR, which ensures much better quality in the reproduced photos. The Xiaomi Future Image Technology Communication conference focused exclusively on the 64MP camera, and nothing more was said about the upcoming Redmi or Xiaomi Smartphone that will use this sensor.
