Lenovo: Introduces ThinkCentre Nano, the world's smallest integrated PC

Η Lenovo, in the context of Lenovo Accelerate & Transform 3.0 event taking place these days in the US, presented the ThinkCentre Nano, the world's smallest integrated computer for desktop use.

Έhas volume just 0,35 liters with dimensions 179x88x32 mm and weighs 505 gr, while it can be placed practically anywhere in an office or workplace and combined with exterior docks via USB Type-C port (USB 3.1 Gen2, for power supply or connection to a screen), while it also has one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A door, a Displayport 1.2, One Ethernet and one DC-in (65W adapter).

It is resistant to adverse conditions according to MIL-810G model, so it can "survive" from several scenarios that would prove disastrous in another case, such as falls, exposure to dust and moisture, vibrations, etc.. It can also be placed behind a screen so that it does not take up any space in the office, being compatible with the Tiny-In-One of Lenovo while it is 65% smaller than its predecessor, the ThinkCentre Tiny.

Inside we can find processors 8th generation Intel (Core i3 / i5 / i7 or Core vPro i5 / i7), up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2 x 512GB PCIe SSDs, with operating system Windows 10 Pro, Home or IoT LTSC (Spb). The ThinkCentre Nano consumes significantly less power than other, similar solutions and has an expansion slot for M.2 WiFi / Bluetooth module, while it can be connected with up to 2 different screens. It also has the TPM 2.0 chip which secures the data through encryption but also the classic Kensington Lock. Finally, it is covered by a 1-year warranty of good operation that can be extended up to 3 years but also by small damages (such as exposure to a small amount of liquids, drops, etc.) thanks to Accidental Damage Protection of Lenovo.

Along with the ThinkCentre Nano was presented a special edition of it, the ThinkCentre Nano IoT, which is designed for industrial environments and even more demanding conditions. He's got fanless design with a passive cooling system that is and the upper part, essentially, has volume 0,55 liters and dimensions 179x88x34,5 mm with weight 750 gr, while it can work in temperatures 0-50 degrees Celsius. Comes with Intel Core i3 / Celeron processors (8th generation), up to 8GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1 x 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD, while special emphasis has been placed on its connectivity capabilities, to cope with IoT uses. Thus, in addition to the aforementioned capabilities of the "simple" Nano, in Nano IoT we find 2 x RS232 serial ports, still a USB Type-C at the front as well two more USB 3.1 Type-A, but also expansion sockets (2 x M.2 PCIe SSD, 2 x M.2 WiFi / Bluetooth, 1 x M.2 4G / LTE, 1 x LoRA (via USB I / F).

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Nano and Nano IoT will be available from August of 2019 with prices starting at $639 and $539 respectively.
