ΓOnce again, the founders of a company acquired by Facebook decide to resign (or resign…). We have seen it many times in the past with more typical examples of its founders WhatsApp and Oculus, but it is a fact that today's news is the most shocking and sudden of all.
The reason for their resignation Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, of its co-founders Instagram, which is rightly considered the best acquisition of Facebook to date, having passed into its hands in 2012 with just 30 million users and today numbers more than 1 billion.
According to the New York Times, Systrom and Krieger will leave in the coming weeks, without knowing the reasons for their resignation. Rumors, however, say that they made this decision because of what happened in recent months with scandals over the management of users' personal data and fake news, but also the way in which Facebook dealt with the crisis.
