Infinix Note 40: The global launch of the new series with curved OLED screens and 108MP cameras begins

The global launch of the new Infinix Note 40 series on March 19, 2024 has just been officially announced.


The new line Infinix Note 40 will have, at Pro and Pro + models, curved AMOLED screens as well as cameras which reach the 108MP with support for OIS.

All devices in the new series will also feature wired fast charging and will be compatible with new wireless charging system of Infinix.

Note 40 Pro + 5G

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G will be powered by Dimensity 7020 SoC, with a manufacturing process at 6nm. More specifically, the SoC features two Cortex-A78 cores at 2.2GHz and others six Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz. The RAM of the device is at 12GB, which can doubled by using Virtual RAM.

On the front, it features curved AMOLED screen tilted at 55 degrees. The screen panel has 120Hz refresh rate with FHD+ resolution, maximum brightness that at 1300 nits and high frequency PWM dimming at 2160Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass and Infinix includes protective tempered glass inside the device packaging.

As for the cameras, the Pro + comes equipped with a three-camera system of which the main is 108MP with OIS and x3 zoom. The only negative is that she is not strong sorry 4K video. The other two cameras are on 2MP and the front selfie camera is at 32MP.

Inside the device, there is the Cheetah X1 her chip Infinix, which is responsible for energy management. More specifically, it is responsible for charging and securing the device, with a charging speed of up to 100w.

The battery with a capacity of 4500mAh, charges up to 50% within 12 minutes, which means that only 5 minutes of charging provides approximately 3 hours of gaming or 7 hours of video playback. Apart from wired charging, the device also has support for wireless charging at 20W.

In the field of charging, the Infinix designed a magnetic charging system named “MagKit“. The MagKit features wireless charging and wireless power bank, with support for reverse wired and wireless charging.

Those who use the device for gaming will especially appreciate it Bypass Charging 2.0, which directly feeds the motherboard (bypassing the battery) and has the effect of keeping the device cooler by 4.5°C.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G it also has a large vapor chamber (3,753mm²), which reduces the temperature of the chipset by 7°C. The sound of the device is handled by JBL stereo speakers.

In terms of durability, it has an IP53 certification, which makes it waterproof and that it can withstand the rain.

It will be available in the following two color options:

  • Vintage green – The back of the device is green leather and the frame as well as the camera module will have a golden touch
  • Obsidian Black – Unlike the Vintage Green where its back is leather, here it will feature one black marble texture on the back.

Notes 40 Pro 5G

The Notes 40 Pro 5G is quite similar to Pro +, as it will have the same display, the same SoC as well as the same main camera.

The differences start from LPDDR4X RAM which is in 8GB (with an extra 8GB Virtual RAM) and internal storage space (USF 2.2) is at 256GB.

In addition, the speed of wired charging reaches 45W but the wireless remains at 20W with compatibility with the MagKit. Despite the slower charging speed, the battery here is larger at 5000mAh.

Note 40 Pro

The Note 40 Pro it leaves behind 5G connectivity and replaces the SoC with one Helio G99. However, it has the same RAM as the Pro+ model – 12GB normal and another 12GB virtual. The charging speed here is faster than the 5G model, as it reaches 70w and maintains compatibility with the MagKit at 20W. It also has a battery at 5000mAh.

It should be noted that the basic version of the model has RAM 8GB and internal storage at 256GB. The screen remains the same and surprisingly, here we see better resistance to water drops and dust with certification IP54.

As for the color options, it inherits it leather Vintage Green by Pro + with one more, the Titan Gold. Obsidian Black is exclusive to the Pro+ model.

Despite not having “Pro” in its name, the Notes 40 it is quite similar to the above model. The main difference between the above devices is that the screen is flat instead of curved. The rest of the screen features remain as they are.

Another main difference with the rest of the series is that, the main camera is at 108MP with a sensor 1/1.52″ ISOCELL (unlike the Note 40 Pro which uses a 1/1.67″ sensor).
