Survey: Growth in the Smartphone market in India was 26%, with Xiaomi holding 46% of the market.

Η India was and remains perhaps the most important market for Xiaomi smartphones, and the company continues to be at the top of the Indian smartphone market for several consecutive quarters.

Η This trend does not seem to be different for next year, and Xiaomi will continue to lead by occupying the first place for a long time to come.

According to a recent survey by Counterpoint, Xiaomi is at the top of the Indian Smartphone market for Q2 (second quarter) of 2019, with Realme, Samsung, Asus and Huawei several miles behind Xiaomi.

Overall, Smartphone shipments for Q2 2019 increased by 26% on an annual basis. The many offers and Flash Sales during the summer led to this growth during the quarter. According to the survey, Xiaomi holds the leading position with an impressive 46% of total sales, while Realme, Samsung, Asus and Huawei gained 17%, 11%, 6% and 4% of market share respectively .

Xiaomi is paying close attention to the Indian market, and despite its very good market performance, the company is losing quite a large share of its share compared to last year, especially Realme, which also took advantage of the drop in sales of Huawei and Samsung .

The RedMi Note 7 Pro is the best-selling device in the online market for the second quarter of 2. The Redmi Note 2019, Redmi 7A, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi Go also contributed to the very good sales of XIaomi. These smartphones accounted for more than two-thirds of Xiaomi's total online sales. As for Realme's second place, its performance is mainly due to the strong push of its products on the internet and the good performance of its affordable series. The list includes Realme C6, Realme 2 and Realme 3 Pro.

The top online stores in the Indian market

In terms of online store performance, Amazon recorded its highest shipments in the premium segment (29%). This is largely driven by the OnePlus 7 series. However, Flipkart remains the leader in online sales with a 58% share. Mi Store has 12% while all the rest occupy 1%. The fastest growing companies in the Indian e-commerce market are Realme, Asus, Vivo and Oppo.
