It starts today and in Athens, Greece its solidarity action WIND "STAY HOME - We will bring you shopping" which already applies to Thessaloniki, Greece in collaboration with the taxi company TaxiWay.
ΠThis is an action that reduces the need to move vulnerable groups of people to buy basic goods. This gives a solution to those who can not - due to special problems - leave the house and drastically reduces the possibility of being exposed to danger.
In Athens and in collaboration with the taxi company «PeopleWIND undertakes for all vulnerable groups (the elderly, the disabled, single-parent families, etc..) the collection and free transport of essential items from any grocery store or pharmacy on the same day and safely.
Those interested can call daily between 7:00 am - 11:00 am at the call center of "People»(2105201300/18300) stating him code 180 and address of house their. The nearest taxi driver arrives directly at their door and receives the shopping list and the price (up to 50 € per day). The driver then takes care to collect and deliver the products responsibly, observing all the necessary protection measures.
The Municipalities participating in the action are the following: Athens, Kallithea, Nea Smyrni, Nikaia, Korydallos, Egaleo and Peristeri.
The initiative "Stay Home - We will bring you shopping" is a practical effort to support vulnerable groups in need and at the same time protect them from the risk of contracting the virus. In this way, WIND contributes to the "We Stay Home" campaign and to the great national effort to limit the transmission of the coronavirus.
