Ο Association of Digital Games Creators of Greece, with Enterprise Greece and gi-Cluster co-organize shipping between 23 and 27 August in Cologne, Germany for the gamescom 2023
Η gamescom has been running for 14 years and has emerged internationally as the largest digital game exhibition in the world by hosting 2022, 265.000 visitors, 25.000 professionals and 1.100 exhibitors from 56 countries. It is a conference that celebrates all aspects of digital gaming and opens its doors to both casual gamers and global industry leaders.
Our Association organized the first shipment of Greek games to the exhibition in the summer of 2022 which was crowned with success, creating professional opportunities for the participants but also ensuring important acquaintances with global industry players both for the Association and for the game developers of the country .
Our mission this year with the support of Enterprise Greece and gi-Cluster will present a dynamic and comprehensive picture of the Greek gaming industry in order to strengthen the presence of the latter in the international markets, to attract new investments in our country and to network the industry professionals with the global industry.
For this purpose, the following three actions have been planned that cover the promotion of the Greek game development ecosystem
- Business-to-Consumer : At Indie Area of the exhibition, three games from Greece were selected for their presence with a booth at Gamescom's Indie Arena Booth. These games will be Albert Wilde: Quantum PI by beyondthosehills, Basements n' Basilisks: Storms of Sorcery by eNVy softworks and Selini by Cymban.
- Business-to-Business : In the Business Area of the exhibition there will be a Greek stand which will showcase the Greek game development industry as a whole, from individual games to financial tools and opportunities that the country provides to potential creators. This pavilion will also act as a place for business meetings for the mission members.
- Private B2B Event : A closed one Business Breakfast event with invited publishers, investors and other important factors from all over the world in order to present the Greek industry but also to network them with the members of our mission.
Our mission will consist of from above 20 developers that they will represent 10 companies and organizations our country.
We hope to turn this mission into an annual phenomenon that will help Greek digital games grow and stand worthy among the global industry.
