Huwei Mate X2: Official with foldable OLED screen 8 ″ 90Hz, Kirin 9000 5G and Quad cameras from Leica

Η HUAWEI announced today at an event held in China, the new Mate x2, the company's latest Foldable Smartphone.

Η HUAWEI proceeded from the unique screen design that folds outwardly to the original Mate X, on a screen that folds inwards, as in Galaxy fold. It has a screen 8-inch OLED on the inside of the device with a refresh rate of 90Hz, touch sampling rate at 180Hz, but also a second external 6,45 inch OLED screen at a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

The company states that it has used a special "magnetic nano-optical film", Which almost eliminates creases in the center of the screen, just where it folds. Also, thanks to a new hinge made of fibers and steel, it can withstand pressure greater than 2.100MPa and is not in danger of breaking easily.

In addition, the left and right half of the body of the fold Mate x2 are wedge-shaped at the edges and are much thinner (just at the 4,4 mm). The device is running EMUI 11 based on Android 10 (without of course having the GAPS and Google Play Store), and as the company stated, will be the first Smartphone to get the HarmonyOS next April.

In terms of cameras, the device has one main camera at 50MP RYYB, a super-wide-angle lens with sensor on 16MP, a telephoto lens on 12MP RYYB with 3X optical zoom and one periscope camera with 8MP telephoto lens and 10X optical zoom. There is an additional camera at 16MP on the external screen of the device that acts as the Selfie camera.

The phone is powered by the new Kirin 9000 5G SOC which is made in 5nm, which in fact has an exclusive NPU, while the device is powered by one battery at 4.500 mAh with wired fast charging at 55W.
