Along with the Huawei P40 series, the company also launches the new version of the user interface that brings some new features.
ΣThe EMUI 10.1 we will enjoy an even more natural browsing experience with greater speed and smoothness, while we will also see the following:
- Huawei MeetTime: This is the company's separate application for making video calls, such as Apple FaceTime and Google Duo.
- Huawei Celia: The company's digital assistant, obviously with much less functionality at this stage compared to those of Google, Apple, Amazon and Samsung.
- Multi-Window: Multitasking becomes even faster and less annoying when you do not want to switch from one application to another. In practice, the notification tab can be turned into a floating box above the application you are currently using and from this "floating" window you will be able to perform certain actions (eg quick response, drag-and-drop image entry drop from one application to another, etc.). A sidebar has also been added to which you can swipe left or right.
- Multi-Device Control Panel: Swipe up from the bottom corners of the screen to show the user the options for connecting directly to other IoT devices (eg a smart speaker).
- Multi-screen collaboration: If you own one of the Huawei MateBook laptops, then you can communicate with your smartphone for direct file sharing, application management, making and receiving calls - video calls to MateBook etc.
