Huawei: Allows you to install third-party applications on wearables

Η Huawei demonstrates its intention to host third-party applications ("third party apps”) In the international market of its wearables, and the beginning is made by the application fitify.

Η application fitify, a popular fitness app for workouts without fitness equipment, is available throughout its wearables range Huawei, in addition to the corresponding application that already exists in the rapidly developing Huawei AppGallery.

This is the first time that a smartphone application company from Central Europe and the Scandinavian Peninsula has designed an application for its wearables. Huawei. Fitify is the first available fitness and health monitoring application developed outside of China.

Getting started with Fitify's integration with the award-winning HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 PRO, Huawei demonstrates its intention to host "third-party apps" in the international market for its wearables.

That's it fitify draws data from the sciences of physiotherapy and physical education and combines them with Artificial Intelligence and computer algorithms in order to design a personalized training program based on the needs of the user.

With a database that includes over 900 exercises The largest variety of exercises available in the app at AppGallery And 200 million completed workouts, Fitify helps over 10 million users 170 countries and in 18 languages* to improve their physical condition. The application filters - with the help of an AI program - the evaluation provided by the user after each workout, and is adjusted for better results. Last year, Fitify estimates it helped burn 26 billion (!) Calories.

By launching Fitify in its wearables, Huawei signals its intention to work with developers and companies to integrate applications into its wearables catalog, which is constantly being enriched with new products. Until recently, Huawei wearables sold outside China were equipped with Huawei applications, but after the release of the HUAWEI Watch GT2 Pro Last September, the company changed its strategy and is now open to partnerships with content providers and third-party application developers.

To better highlight the app in AppGallery, Fitify used five embedding tools developed by Huawei Mobile Services:

  • The Account Kit, which allows developers simple, secure, fast connection and authentication
  • The Push Kits, which installs a messaging channel from the cloud to the devices, allowing developers to send messages within their applications to increase user interest
  • The InApp-Purchases Kit, which facilitates the purchase of virtual products with easy payment methods
  • The Analytics Kit, which uses pre-installed data analysis models for developers to gain an in-depth understanding of users, products and content
  • The Wear Engine, which facilitates the interaction between smartphone and wearable device for better user experience.

Η Huawei intends to act as a central technical support hub for all content providers and to assist throughout the "turnover", from initial idea and design to distribution, operation and data analysis.
