Η Xiaomi officially confirmed that several models will receive the upgrade for the MIUI 11 currently in China, while something similar is already coming for devices with Global ROM.
ΤBut what if the upgrade does not arrive on our device in time? Can we do something to make the whole process easier? Are there any clever tricks that could get us out of the awkward position of waiting?
The truth is that the only one who knows exactly when the upgrade on your mobile phone will come is Xiaomi. The procedure is determined by the Chinese company and the update file is available from its servers depending on the availability and planning of the company.
See Xiaomi's list of devices that will receive Global Stable MIUI 11 ROMEmpirically, however, there are 3 ways (from the simplest to the… most sought after) that each one has given a solution in respective cases and maybe someone of them give a solution to you too. But he may not succeed. Shall we go?
Method # 1 (dummy version)
Simple, but it has happened in the best families. Go to the menu Settings - About the device (About Phone) - Upgrade (System Updates) and press Check for Updates 2-3 times to "wake up" the server and show you the upgrade - IF of course it is the time for your device.
Method # 2
If the first simple method does not work, go to the second. Go to the menu of the Area you are in and change it to e.g. India, Spain, Italy (usually receiving upgrades first). The Region change is of course completely safe for your device. If you find an upgrade you are OK. You can then change the Region in Greece again without any problem.
Method # 3
The third method involves the Downmi application (play store) which has a very good score and performance in this field. This is a third party app that connects to the servers of the Chinese company and tries to download the respective ROM (for your device of course). So select your mobile when you enter the application, Click on "Global Stable" and download on your mobile.
- After the download is complete, transfer the ROM (with copy paste) to the "downoladed_rom" folder through a file manager of our choice.
- Then go to: About this phone
- System Update Press the logo 3-4 times until a warning pop-up appears.
- Then select the Select update package from the 3 dots (menu) - locate the "downoladed_rom" folder
- Let the process complete.
As always, the above ways are empirical and some (or all) may not work for everyone. If you are in a hurry and want to make sure you did not "miss" an MIUI 11 update, try them out to see.

Because I own the XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 7 GLOBAL and I have tried the first two ways unsuccessfully, I tried the third. In downmi not available 11, but MIUI 10, in all versions (GLOBAL STABLE, CHINA STABLE, CHINA DEVELOP)
MIUI 11 is only available for REDMI NOTE 7 PRO and in CHINA STABLE.
This information
