Mi 10T: Learn how the new AdaptiveSync technology works with the 7 stages of refresh rate

Most of the features of the Mi 10T are exciting, but there is also something that first appeared in the world of smartphones, and that is AdaptiveSynch 3.0

Το I 10T has a large o6,7 inch dome with the imposing rate of renewal in 144Hz. While the 144Hz refresh rate has already become a must in almost all Gaming Smartphones, now Xiaomi has equipped the I 10T with a new advanced variable refresh rate system 7 stages, who calls it AdaptiveSync Technology.

What is AdaptiveSynch technology?

Ever since smartphones began to feature high-refresh screens, concerns about battery life have grown exponentially. As a result, companies have introduced a variable screen refresh rate to help save battery power, and offer a better viewing experience.

When it was released My 10 For the first time, Xiaomi had a variable refresh rate function that reached up to 90Hz when running a supported game or application. But now with the new I 10T, Xiaomi further improves the variable rate of renewal, raising it to even higher levels.

The screen of the Mi 10T can change the refresh rate between seven different stages. Therefore, the phone is not just going to always use the maximum refresh rate on 144Hz or reduce it to the standard rate that are 60Hz. Based on the content displayed by the device, the I 10T can automatically activate the refresh rate in 30Hz or to 90Hz. This promises higher gains in battery life as a result of more efficient use of resources.

But the benefits of a variable 7-step renewal rate do not end there. Xiaomi says the new technology AdaptiveSync, can also eliminate content viewing problems. Anomalies and delays may occur when there is a discrepancy between the frame rate of the displayed content source and the screen refresh rate.

The I 10T can increase the refresh rate to 144Hz only while playing a game or browsing social media, provided that these applications support it. If the application or game requires a lower refresh rate, the phone will adjust the refresh rate on the screen to provide a better experience.

How will the refresh rate be adjusted to different content formats?

Xiaomi reports that I 10T can automatically adjust the refresh rate depending on the frame rate of the application or the video displayed on the device. So for social media and gaming, the Mi 10T can change the rate of renewal between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, but also the maximum rate at 144Hz. While streaming a video, the refresh rate may vary 30Hz and 60Hz.

For content in the form of television, ie at 24 fps or 50 fps, the I 10T will set the screen refresh rate to 50Hzwhile watching movies (24 fps), the screen will adjust the refresh rate to double, ie to 48Hz, while adding inoculated frames for smoother playback through technology MEMC which we find mainly on television screens.

Therefore, the I 10T can now change the refresh rate of the screen to a wider range, and depending on the content. This ensures that the viewing experience in I 10T will remain excellent and make the most of all available energy resources.

This is the first time a smartphone can change the refresh rate to such a different range.
