The Google Pay, the service that simplifies contactless payments, was previously available in Greece through the applications of partner banks, and now becomes available to all Greek users Android phones.
ΤLast week, we took an important step to make money transactions easier and more secure by giving access to the service Google Pay, to all Greek users Android phones.
Its use Google Pay is done easily: we simply add a credit, debit or prepaid card to the application (Visa, Mastercard), partner banks and your Android smartphone turns into a wallet. The Google Pay is already available from Alpha Bank, while soon the service will be available from Eurobank.
The new app Google Pay will offer from the first moment popular and useful services, such as the “tap and pay”- for easy contact-free transactions in stores or public transport - making it easier to use multiple cards and providing the ability to search for transactions to track your history and track your expenses.
Along with the application for Android, it will be released in Greece and Google Pay for Wear OS, making the experience “tap and pay ”even simpler with the use of your smartwatch. Gradually, the application will be enriched with other services, available on more platforms.
The Google Pay app is available in over 30 countries from all over the world, having from the beginning focused on the security of mobile transactions. That is why we have adopted a multidimensional security system. When, for example, you make a transaction in a store, instead of your bank account number, you share your virtual card number with the seller.
Also, in case of theft or loss of your mobile phone, you can locate it, lock it or delete your data through the service "Find My Device”. Facilities like these, and many more, secure personal information, which has been shown to provide more security to our users, partners and developers.
