You can now select 'Copy to PC' and paste your handwritten notes into any device connected to Chrome.
Το Google Lens, which uses Google's image recognition technology, has its own standalone app from 2018, to which new features are constantly being added. Google has decided to add the ability to quickly copy and paste handwritten notes from a smartphone to a PC.
Like Lou Wang, Group Product Manager for products Google Lens and Google AR explains in The Keyword blog, “You can already use Lens to quickly copy and paste text from notes to paper and documents on your smartphone and save time. "Now when you select text with Lens, you can select 'Copy to PC' to quickly paste the text into another device connected to Chrome." Handwritten notes are converted to text and displayed almost immediately on the selected device. It works as a very easy way to "backup" the thoughts you attach to the paper.
For this feature to work, you will need to confirm that you have the latest version of Chrome installed on both devices. If you are an Android device user, the Google Lens app is a must, but for iOS you will need to have the Google app installed, which automatically includes access to the Lens.
Other features added to Google Lens include the ability to hear words and phrases spoken in a different language. This feature is extremely useful for anyone trying to learn a new language, as Lens already supports over 100. To hear a word or phrase, simply select the text with Lens and select the 'Listen' button. Finally, there is the new ability to search for new words and phrases. If you find a word or phrase you do not understand, use Lens to select it and do a Google search to find out what it means.
Android users can take advantage of these new Google Lens features already, but iOS users will have to wait a little longer for them.
