In other words, the error allowed iPhone users to secretly listen in on private conversations from other iPhone users that were not intended to be heard by others. Apple quickly shut down FaceTime Servers, promising a software fix this week.
As reported this morning by CNBC, Apple issued a statement apologizing for the problem, noting that the company's servers had been taken care of.
