Xiaomi announced that the Android 14 is available for installation at Xiaomi 13 Pro - Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 12t and the new BETA 1 ROM tested on Xiaomi 13 in a special version of MIUI 14
Yesterday at the Google event, it was announced that an early BETA version of Android 14 will be available for devices from various OEM manufacturers, in which Xiaomi is of course included.

As it is BETA 1 version, there are no major changes compared to Android 13 and it has been confirmed that the version of Android 14 installed on the Xiaomi 13 is not a stable ROM. The Chinese version has been installed, but there will be no significant difference from the global version.
Once the device boots to Android 14, a popup will appear informing you about the BETA software you installed and warning you that this version is not stable and not good for daily use.
On first boot at Lock Screen, what we see right away is that the clock font seems to be a bit thicker than usual and there is no other major change here. The signal indicator reveals that the signal on mobile networks is available, but the top left corner shows “No service".
Since it is a BETA version of MIUI based on Android 14, many of the new features that the final version will have are not yet incorporated, but it can be confirmed that the version installed on Xiaomi 13 is quite stable, however, it is not suitable for everyday use on your basic device. Installed its Chinese version Android 14 Developer Preview 1, but there will be no significant difference from the global version.
The version of MIUI that comes with the Android 14 Beta 1 is "MIUI 14 23.5.6” and noticed that the available RAM is listed as 12GB + 0GB on the specifications page. Many Smartphone OEMs have started offering RAM expansion on their phones, usually displaying it as 12 GB + 3 GB as shown in the second screenshot (Android 13 stable version).
It was also noticed that the amount of RAM used reported by the system is not correct, and the extended RAM memory listed as 0 GB in this version of Android 14 Beta 1.
One of the most exciting features of Android 14 is the “Predictive backward gesture', which allows you to preview where you're going before you return. This feature is not yet available in the version tested on Xiaomi 13.
Enabled the predictive back gesture in the developer options and tried going back to the settings app but was greeted with the traditional MIUI back gesture.
The MIUI version based on Android 14 Beta 1 which was tested on Xiaomi 13 it's not in its final form and there are a lot of things missing and some problems with the apps inside the system, but don't forget that it's a Beta 1 version, and Xiaomi will update its phones to a more stable version of Android 14 several times months later.
