Last year, Huawei introduced GPU Turbo technology, a software-based feature that improves the device's gaming performance.
Η This feature was introduced in some Huawei and Honor smartphones, and later the company started adding it via EMUI update to more devices.
GPU Turbo technology has been shown to significantly improve device performance and reduce battery consumption. Within a few months Huawei has upgraded the GPU Turbo several times, and now offers quite a good performance improvement. However, the main problem with the technology was that it was compatible with too few games. Huawei finally announced that the GPU Turbo supports an additional 19 Android games.
The third generation GPU Turbo is part of EMUI 9.1 which is based on Android 9 Pie and will already be available on the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. According to Huawei, the GPU Turbo 3.0 reduces the SoC's power consumption by 10% and improves the overall performance of the system to "provide a seamless gaming experience", whatever that means.
GPU Turbo 3.0 is currently the exclusive feature of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, but soon Huawei will release the technology to even more smartphones with EMUI 9.1.
The list of 25 games supported by GPU Turbo 3.0 technology is as follows:
