The Hellenic Post (ELTA) announced the full restoration of all their services, for their customers and the public, after March 20 cyber attack.
Τthe network of ELTA now offers all commercial, financial and postal services. From the past 7 Thursday April The possibility of sending and receiving objects abroad was also restored, a service which remained the last pending in the process of restoring the company's systems.
Customers can follow the progress of all shipments made after March 20, through the system Track Order on the website www.elta.gr. Also, from Monday, transactions will be carried out normally through its network Eurobank, as well as remittances by check or online Western Union.
It is worth clarifying that the ELTA received one of the most serious attacks that a Greek group and especially a public company has suffered. Nevertheless, the company fully recovered, achieving a perfect technical response and an equal performance of multinational groups. The full recovery was achieved in a time below the average of international data for similar incidents, while it is noted that most services were restored much earlier.
An important role in the recovery process was played by the internal crisis management team, the competent executives, but also the assistance of the external collaborators of ELTA (including IT scientists and specialized organizations) who assisted in the work of restoring the systems and their safe re-operation. .
