Οi her recommendations EETT they focus on how to connect to Internet, device protection, roaming service, as well as mobile use in emergency situations.

I pay attention to the way I connect to the Internet

  1. I choose whether to connect to Internet through available shared WiFi with free data usage or through my company's network with my plan's data consumption.
  2. I keep in mind that in case I consume it 80% and 100% of talk time/SMS/data volume of my program, my company is obliged to inform me SMS.
  3. When I use shared WiFi networks, I avoid sending personal information (e.g. codes), make financial transactions or download files and applications.

I protect my device

  1. I "download" updates regularly to upgrade my device's security level and protect it from viruses.
  2. I put a password on my device.
  3. I store in a safe place the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity), i.e. the unique number that identifies my device, so that I can block it in case of theft. I find the IMEI:
  • By pressing the keys: *#06#.
  • In the device packaging.

I talk & surf carefree when I travel

  1. When traveling within the European Union-EU (as well as in Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway), I am charged as in Greece (Roam Like at Home) for calls, SMS and data usage, always depending on what my plan provides .
  2. For non-EU countries, I contact my company before traveling to find out about the cost of calls, SMS and data usage and choose the right roaming plan according to my needs.
  3. When I arrive in a destination country outside the EU I am informed about the local networks available from the device settings and choose the one I think is most convenient for me to connect.
  4. In border areas, I disable automatic network search and "lock" my device to my company's network to avoid unwanted roaming charges.

What should I know in an emergency?

  1. I always have emergency messages activated on my cell phone.
  2. I call the European Emergency Number 112 free of charge, from Greece or any EU country (without an additional code) and at any time, even if my mobile phone does not have:
    • Signal (if there is a signal from another mobile phone company in the area).
    • Units.
    • SIM card.
