The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is the new king in camera performance, according to a new rating by DxOMark.
To DxOMark had evaluated the Huawei Mate 30 Pro just released last September and was crowned the Smartphone with the best camera, equaling the Xiaomi Mi Note 10.
But now the new king according to DxOMark, is the 5G version of Huawei 30 Pro, with total score 123 points, two more units than the basic 4G model.
It is important to note, however, that the two phones have identical hardware (except for the chipsets), so one would wonder if this difference is due to some optimization made in the software of the devices.
So, in a way, you can say that DxOMark has evaluated the progress that Huawei has made in improving the camera software over the last three months.
In its review, DxOMark mentions that the new software brings several key improvements - better detail in photos, more stable autofocus with zoom camera and better noise management.
There are also some benefits to low light photography, but also the wider dynamic range in a portrait. But the biggest gain in the new rating seems to come from video recording.
