Mi 11 Ultra: Available again from 15 July in India - Availability problems continue in Europe

The Mi 11 Ultra is probably one of the best Android Smartphones ever announced by Xiaomi, but unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to find it available in the market to obtain it.

ΣProblems continue with the availability of the Mi 11 Ultra in all international markets, but today it seems that there is finally "light in the tunnel".

The company announced today in India that the device will finally be available from June 15, but it is unknown whether there will still be sufficient stocks to meet demand.

Η Xiaomi, after making a sale on a limited number of devices on July 7 on mi.com, today confirmed today that the phone will be up again available in India from 15 July.

But shortages are not a problem for India alone. There is the same problem of availability in Europe, and even today My 11 Ultra is not available in either We Store from Info Quest Technologies, which is the Xiaomi exclusive distributor in Greece and Cyprus.

We do not know if finally My 11 Ultra will be available again in Europe and Greece from 15 June, as announced in the case of India, but it seems that Xiaomi did not believe that the device would be so popular that it could secure sufficient stocks in time to meet the huge demand of the Mi 11 Ultra.

We hope that the device will be available again very soon in our country.

Below you can read the history with availability problems ……

Η Xiaomi has equipped this flagship with all the best specifications in terms of hardware, and is equipped with a AMOLED panel with a renewal rate of 120Hz, with cleaner software and less inflated with Bloatware than previous generations, and with a combination of truly incredible cameras.

But there is a very serious problem of availability.

It is almost impossible to find and buy this device. The My 11 Ultra made its debut in China earlier this year, and theoretically became available in world markets early last month.

And we say "theoretically available“, Because even though the device announced in Europe on 4 May, is not available anywhere on the market. Right now at United Kingdom, Germany, Spain but also on other official Xiaomi European websites, all you can do is select Notify Me (availability notice), and there is no other way to get it My 11 Ultra, even if you are willing to pay around $ 1.500 / € 1230.

Xiaomi had made it available My 11 Ultra on United Kingdom on 6 May - but it was immediately sold out, as it is very likely that there were few devices available for this "launch".

India, Xiaomi's largest market outside China, is now in a similar situation. Xiaomi held a stunning virtual event on April 23 in India, in which it announced its release My 11 Ultra along with the TV MI QLED 75 inches, and while the TV became available for purchase a few weeks ago, there is no word yet on when My 11 Ultra will finally become available in the country market.

Xiaomi even made an announcement yesterday through its official Twitter account, to inform its Indian customer that "due to new circumstances beyond its control, the release of the Mi 11 Ultra will be further delayed".

However, Xiaomi did not specify what really caused the delay in availability, nor did it make any mention of when the device will be released in the country.

Unfortunately, the same problem seems to be recurring for Xiaomi, and there are long delays in the availability of its flagships. And for the My 11 It also took some time before the device became available for sale in the global markets, and now we see the same problem with My 11 Ultra.

It should be noted that the My 11 Ultra has a much better price in India, having been set at a retail price of 69,999 Indian Rupees (~ $ 960 / € 788), ie it costs against 36% less from the same device that has been released in Germany and other western markets.

Note also that its variant My 11 Ultra which is available in India, has the same set of 5G bands as all the other markets, which means that if one finally manages to buy the device from India, one will have no problem with the bands of the European networks, and will buy it against 36% cheaper than in Europe.

The AndroidCentral talked to her researcher IDC India, Mr. Navkendar Singh, about the large price difference that has Mi 11 Ultra in India, but also for the availability problem.

As noted by Singh, in India Smartphones costing over 50.000 Indian Rupees (~ $ 700), represent less than 3% of the total market. This category of Premium Smartphones in India, is at least so far, a "quirky duo between Apple and Samsung».

This explains why Xiaomi and OnePlus are willing to significantly reduce their profit margins in order to gain a larger market share in the country. This explains especially in the case of Xiaomi, the big price difference that the same device has in Europe.

Regarding its problematic availability My 11 Ultra in India, the Singh stresses that they are mainly responsible for the obstacles imposed by the government of India, and affects in addition to Xiaomi and other manufacturers, even Apple itself.

Specifically, as reported by Navkendar Singh:

Xiaomi's inability to release My 11 Ultra in India, is mainly due to the fact that the device is not manufactured or assembled in the Country, but is imported directly from China.

The delays in availability come from the Government of India, which has suspended the approval of the import of devices imported from China and having Wi-Fi connectivity, and this problem does not only affect the Xiaomi and the Mi 11 Ultra, but the whole market of premium devices and from many other manufacturers, such as some Apple iPhone & iPad, tlaptops etc.

Most Xiaomi Smartphones sold in India are usually made locally, but some of its selected flagships and other products of the company's ecosystem - such as water purifiers and vacuum cleaners, etc. - are made in China.

But unfortunately, as we said above, the problem of its availability My 11 Ultra is not limited to India but also exists in other European markets, so no direct correlation can be made.

Xiaomi always does a great job in terms of the specifications and prices of its products, but apparently it has several problems when it comes time to market them.

What is certain is that he will soon have to find a solution and change his tactics if he wants to surpass in sales the Apple and Samsung in global level.
