Η Google and Apple announced last month that they would develop an API for both Android and iOS that would allow health services to track people's meetings.
ΜThrough this, people will be able to find out if they have come in contact with people who have been exposed to the virus so that they can take appropriate action to deal with it.
Google last week initially released a beta version of the service and offered it SDK to selected developers. Remember that the program will run in two phases. The first is the one that will start sometime later in the month, while in the second companies want to integrate this monitoring feature into the operating system.
The application asks you to enable them alerts and it is worth noting that the ID which is created randomly will not be able to to be used for human identification.
When you install the application, you will see three tabs, with the tab "Exposures”List all possible dates you have come in contact with a virus patient. The national or local health service will then tell you what the next steps should be.
In the tab "Notify othersYou will be able to inform those around you about whether you are positive for the virus after the test results come out. The verification process will vary by location but will require the use of one unique identifier which has the respective test. Through this system, Google and Apple will be able to keep the malicious users of the application away. Additionally, there will be a tab with settings.
The application is prohibited from requesting access to the site while the minimal user data collected is prohibited from being used for targeted ads.
