A Beijing court has ruled that Xiaomi's use of the MIX name is a trademark infringement. Apparently, another company had registered the name "MIX" since November 23, 2014, and of course before the application filed by Xiaomi on November 14, 2016 for the same name.
The case went to court on March 4, 2019, after Xiaomi refused to respond to the dispute over the trademark of the company that registered the name, and so a committee was formed, which according to the law and decided that Xiaomi has no claim for the trademark under Article 69 of the Administrative Law of the People's Republic of China.
Based on this decision, Xiaomi will not be able to use the MIX name for any of its future devices. However, there is a possibility that Xiaomi will reach an agreement with the company that owns the brand, and the alarm will end here so that Xiaomi can continue to use the MiX name for its devices.According to the same source, Xiaomi has not yet made any statements on the matter.
