Samsung unveiled its first foldable screen smartphone on Wednesday and seems to be well ahead of Apple.
ΠAll industry observers have noted that the foldable phone is a challenge for Apple in the Premium smartphone market. What will be the reaction of Cupertino (Apple), will it follow the example of Samsung and Huawei? And what could a foldable iPhone look like?
Foldable.News asked the Dutch designer Roy Gilsing just that, to design a supposedly foldable iPhone. Gilsing is a well-known product manufacturer that has worked for clients such as Rabobank, Colgate-Palmolive and Fresh 'n Rebel. He is also one of the experts on the TV show "Stars of Science", which is broadcast in more than 10 countries. At the request of Foldable News, he designed the fantastic "iPhone X Fold", a stylish Smartphone with two screens. The external display has a 1: 3 aspect ratio and the internal, folding screen has a 2: 3 aspect ratio.
The device smoothly switches to dimensions when folded between iPhone and iPad. It can be used both vertically and horizontally and allows partial folding, turning it into a mini notebook with a touch keyboard.
Gilsing hopes that Apple will design a foldable device along these lines, and said: "It would be so cool to have an iPad sized screen in your pocket. And it's really convenient to make calls and talk on a long-distance phone ".
