Cosmote: Fiber to the Home lines exceed 250.000 - Target 300.000 by the end of the year

Now Cosmote offers guaranteed speed internet 100 and 200Mbps from € 28,90 per month, with a subsidy through the action Superfast Broadband.


Τthirty-six new areas throughout Greece now have access to 100% optical fiber until home (FTTH) through COSMOTE Fiber , the largest fiber optic network in the country.

From the beginning of the year until today, more than 100.000 new lines FTTH, One increase 70% in relation to its charges 2019, despite the difficulties in developing networks due to the pandemic. Across the country, more than 250.000 households and businesses now have access to the unlimited possibilities of fiber to the home.

The new areas that have gained access to FTTH infrastructure via COSMOTE Fiber-by region- are:

  • Eastern Macedonia & Thrace: Drama, Kavala and Komotini
  • Attica: Agia Paraskevi, Anixi, Dionysos, Ekali, Kamatero, Keratea, Koropi, Markopoulo, Nea Makri, Pikermi, Saronida and Chaidari
  • North Aegean: Samos
  • Western Macedonia: Kastoria and Ptolemaida
  • Thessaly: Trikala
  • Central Macedonia: Giannitsa, Edessa, Kilkis, Naoussa and Serres. In Thessaloniki, the FTTH infrastructure arrived for the first time in the municipality of Epanomi, while in the municipality of Oreokastro it was extended to more households and businesses.
  • Crete: Agios Nikolaos, Ierapetra and new areas of the municipality of Chania
  • South Aegean: Ialyssos and the municipality of Rhodes
  • Peloponnese: Corinth, Messina, Pyrgos Ilias and Tripoli
  • Central Greece: Lamia and Chalkida

Thanks to the continuous expansion of the network FTTH: OTE Group remains first in population coverage, having installed over 75% of total lines FTTH of the country.

The expansion of the Fiber to the Home network in Greece is one of the largest projects to upgrade telecommunications infrastructure in recent decades. Fiber optics to the house, from € 28,90


Η COSMOTE has the programs COSMOTE Double Play Fiberspeed 100 & 200Mbps from € 28,90 per month, providing guaranteed ultra-high speeds 100 & 200Mbps with the possibility of upgrading in the future to 1Gbps.

The price is formed in combination with the special subsidy of total amount €360 action Superfast Broadband of the Ministry of Digital Governance. The action is implemented with the voucher method, which subsidizes the fixed of the programs COSMOTE Double Play Fiberspeed with € 13 / month, for a while 24 months and the one-time cost of connecting to €482. For businesses, the COSMOTE has the programs COSMOTE Business Double Play Fiberspeed Basic & Full Pack from €39,90 per month, in combination with the special subsidy for connection FTTH, through action Superfast Broadband.
