ClockTuner: New application promises the best possible OC for your Zen 2 processor and with lower consumption!

A new application now allows owners Ryzen 3000 systems to reach the limits of their performance and in fact with lower consumption!

Οι Ryzen 3000 have been on the market for about a year and some might claim that we know everything about their performance and the settings needed to achieve good OCs.

O Yuri Bubliy (per world 1USMUS), the creator of the famous DRAM Calculator for Ryzen, gives the public a new application that allows owners of Ryzen 3000 systems to reach the limits of their performance and in fact with lower consumption!

The application is called Clock Tuner for Ryzen (CTR) and it seems that it will soon become the "holy grail" of enthusiasts. At its core, CTR can work with each CCX separately and apply personalized undervolting. In this way each CCX can operate at lower temperatures and achieve higher timings.

The CTR can also adjust the timings of each CCX individually, after an initial assessment of the capabilities of each CCX with a specialized version of prime95. The result is, using a special algorithm, to balances the processor operation without affecting the total power supplied to the CPU modules. Even more impressive is that even if the motherboard does not support custom CCX settings the CTR can apply such settings beyond the parent manufacturer's restrictions.

Zen 2 processors, thanks to 7nm technology, are already known for their efficiency, especially when compared to Comet Lake-S. CTR promises to take Ryzen 3000 performance to another level. For example, on a Ryzen 9 3900X it was possible to increase performance by 7%, while at the same time processor consumption was reduced by 9,5%. Even with higher timings, the processor could work reliably with 1,225V instead of the standard 1,312V

Linus Sebastian from LTT tested the CTR and you can see his conclusions in the video below:
