The original PlayStation prototype will be sold next February at auction through the house Heritage Auctions.
Η Probably the rarest game console, a collaborative effort by Nintendo and Sony, was developed in the 1980s and is considered the best of video game legends, according to the website.
Its owner has previously turned down a multimillion-dollar offer. The sale price will now be decided at the auction.
The story of the PlayStation
Known as the PlayStation, the console was a prototype machine that could play both NES cassette games and CD games. Its purpose was Sony's partnership with Nintendo, before the latter withdrew from the deal. Sony then launched its own exclusive PlayStation console in 1994.
In 2009, Terry Dibold accidentally found the incredibly rare prototype at auction at a pile of "old stuff" and bought it for $ 75. It's the latest PlayStation privately owned and no one has any idea how many hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars will be bought, especially if there is a bidding war between collectors or museums.
