- Beta testing mode is still on in a trial stage and will soon open to all users. Please wait patiently if you don't find it.
- Back up your data before upgrading [Mandatory].
- Steady intake of beta ROM testers will begin first on world wide web (You can change site by clicking on ME–>Setup–>Change region in practice Xiaomi Community) and the acceptance of applications for different models and versions will take place gradually. If the request entry for the beta ROM tests you want is not available, please wait patiently.
- To upgrade from MIUI on Xiaomi HyperOS, make sure the bootloader lock of your device is locked. If you have locked the Bootloader but still unable to upgrade, please go to your local selling store for further check.
- If you have signed up and become a beta ROM tester through the recruitment posts posted on the Xiaomi community in the past, we will retain your beta testing rights for a period of time. We strongly recommend that you re-apply through the current method”Xiaomi Community –> ME –> Beta Testing“, because it will be more convenient for you to check the beta test license status.
Frequently asked questions about the new application acceptance system
(1) How do I join the Beta program?
If you would like to join the Beta Program, please follow the steps below

- Open the app Xiaomi Community 5.3.30.
- Change application area to Global enviroment (ME » Setting » Change region)
- Go to ME and then select Beta Testing
- Click Recruiting test and then Apply. Please note that the system will automatically detect your device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to get started.
(2) The system shows “No data found”, how can I solve it?
- Check if your device has already reached the status EOL from HERE. Devices in an EOL state will not receive a recruitment notification.
- More devices are added periodically. If your device hasn't reached EOL status and you still can't see it, please wait patiently.
(3) The Apply button is grayed out on the Recruiting test page. What can I do;
First, you should answer the basic questions about it Beta / Pilot Program (Xiaomi Community » ME » Beta testing » Recruiting test » Answer) and then try again. Keep in mind that you need 60 points to move on.
(4) I am already a Tester in the Xiaomi ROM Beta program. Do I need to reapply?
We would suggest you re-apply. The previous permission in the user account will be retained for some time.
(5) Which ROMs does the recruitment system support?
The system supports all Global ROM e.g. MI, EEA etc.
(6) How will I know if I've been accepted for Beta testing?
You will see the button Passed at Recruiting test page (Xiaomi Community » ME » Beta testing » Recruiting test).
