A new patent was granted by Apple, through the US Patent and Trademark Office, which deals with a new type of keyboard with on-screen keyboard.
ΤThe interesting thing is that this keyboard, which will logically be placed on MacBooks, will have programmable keys with tiny screens on them to show their function to the user!
They are very reminiscent of touch Bar which already exists in MacBook Pro for some years, but now they concern an entire keyboard, since, potentially, each button will be able to have a small screen.
Most likely these small panels will be OLED and will definitely increase the cost of the keyboard and the device on which it is placed. Each key will be able to change its icon depending on the language of the keyboard, or special function performing. If nothing else, an interesting concept that we look forward to!
