Apple: MacOS 11 Big Sur is coming with several new features and specifications

The next big version of Apple's operating system is revealed and our company also mentions compatibility with its current systems.

H Cupertino-based company has officially unveiled its plans for the transition from today's Intel x86 CPUs to those of the ARM architecture, where they offer several advantages over current implementations.

The new  macOS 11  with the code name Big Sur is in preview format and is a key part of the transition from x86 to ARM, as it will be fully compatible with the latter, while integrating the Rosetta 2, an emulator that can run x86 applications thus making the task of developers much easier. At the same time inside we will find a new version of Xcode with ARM support as well as the Universal 2 binary, to export applications running on ARM and x86 at the same time.

Aesthetically, macOS 11 'Big Sur' changes a lot and is the most modern version we have seen to date, with elements that are quite reminiscent of its mobile operating system, iOS, such as several slides! The move is likely to make the transition to the new operating system even easier, especially for those who are aesthetically aware of iOS, but have not yet had contact with macOS.

The redesigned look and feel of the Control Center, similar to that of iOS, is also accompanied by improvements to first-party apps like Maps, which make 'favorites' easier to find, while Safari promises up to 50% faster loading web pages versus Google Chrome.

Finally, the compatibility of this operating system extends to several versions and in addition to the future ARM systems that we will see from Apple, there is full support for dozens of existing systems, Mac Pro and MacBook, MacBook Pro, as shown in the image below. Finally, macOS 11 Big Sur will be released in the fall to all owners of compatible systems.
