The iPhone 12 and the version mini are equipped with Super Retina XDR OLED screen 6,1 and 5,4 inches respectively, which have support in both HDR as well as in Dolby Vision. Both devices have a new protection on the screen glass which now has a special ceramic coating that makes the glass up to 4 times more resistant to drops.
This has been achieved thanks to a special process done during the manufacture of the glass, where an additional step of high temperature crystallization has been added, which develops nano-ceramic crystals inside the glass matrix.
Apple's new Smartphones are powered by a new one A14 Bionic SoC, which is made with lithography technology in 5nm and has 11,8 billion transistors and design 6 cores.
The news iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are certified IP68 for resistance to dust and water, and can withstand up to 6 meters depth up to 30 minutes.
Both devices are equipped with one main camera at 12MP promising performance improvement 27% in low light conditions, compared to iPhone 11 last year, and with a second camera which is equipped with a super-wide-angle lens and sensor in the 12MP.
