It has been almost a month since Epic Games announced that it is suing Apple because it removed its application Fortnite (game) by App Store, accusing her of violating the Store policy.
Τits time has come Apple, to go on the counterattack, and has now filed a lawsuit against her Epic Games, seeking compensation for breach of her contract Epic Games to App Store.
As you will remember, the Apple, previously denied access to App Store in all applications that used Unreal Engine by Epic Games, but a judge blocked the move, forcing Apple to regain access to all developers.
But the battle between the two companies is now moving to the second stage, escalating the tension even more, since now Apple with the lawsuit filed against Epic Games, is seeking compensation (amount not disclosed) for the alleged breach of their contract.
In the lawsuit filed by Apple, it stated:
The whole legal dispute between the two companies started as soon as Epic Games released a version of it Fortnite bypassing Apple's App Store payment system. Apple immediately removed the application from the store and immediately blocked its account Epic Games. Epic Games immediately filed a lawsuit against Apple, alleging that the move was previously planned by the company without Apple's knowledge.
Η Epic Games also tried to substantiate allegations about Apple's monopoly behavior with the purchase of applications, which of course Apple does not accept as existing.
Apparently we have to see many more episodes from this war between the two companies. Take a seat on the couch, grab a bowl of popcorn and get ready to watch the next episode.
