Apple, in an official announcement, announced that it will not release its AirPower wireless charger, due to the fact that it could not meet its high standards.
The company states:
For the record, Apple's wireless charger was first announced during the iPhone X presentations back in September 2017, when Apple brought wireless charging to its handsets. The company then promised that it would be available in the market sometime in 2018, something that never happened.
The main feature of this charger was that it could power 3 devices at the same time (an IPhone, an Apple Watch and the Aipods headphones), and without the need for the user to place them in a specific place.
Finally, after its official announcement, there were multiple rumors about various problems faced by the company's engineers, the most important of which was the overheating of the device.
