This is not the first time we have read that Google will harden its stance towards partners - manufacturers of Android devices regarding the delays in the adoption of the latest versions of the operating system.
Η company seems to be making a fresh start with Android 10, which has been officially released since the beginning of September, however, new smartphones with the previous version of Android 9 Pie are still being launched.
According to XDA Developers, Google will force manufacturers to release all their new smartphones with Android 10 pre-installed, otherwise it will not give them permission to use Google Mobile Services (GMS), ie access to the Google Play Store and its official applications - services.
The measure will take effect on January 31, 2020, so there is enough time for them to comply.
